Overview

This original seascape painting comes out of my nostalgia. This 28×30 inch painting holds the memory of my native land’s beach — the place I walked to when feeling sad. The waves, powerful yet soothing, offered me a sanctuary, whispering a sense of security and assuring me that all would be well. I painted the sun in the painting as a golden ball spreading light over the clouds like molten gold. That glow was always sufficient to lighten the heaviness of sorrow and to remind me of the beauty God has created for man. The sea and sky in this artwork represent hope and healing as they have the ability to take a person beyond the circle of his worries.
